Thomas Kincaid As student body secretary, my first responsibility would be to my fellow students. That should not be construed, however, as an unwillingness to work with the administration to create mutually beneficial results. I am a team builder, and I will build coalitions of people both inside and outside of student government to get the work of the student body accomplished. I will bring a fresh face to the officer group, but not an inexperienced one. My two greatest priorities are continuing the push for off-campus Pony Express and increasing the amount of money available for student organizations (currently $51.50 per student). I will also work to recruit quality minority students to help enrich the campus life of our university and to enhance communication between the Student Senate and the students we serve. While extremely important, I do not believe this election is solely about those issues: This race is about leadership. It is about electing a person who has the ability and the burning desire to bring people together to make good things happen. |
